Walsall Area CTC rides
W
alsall Area CTC offers a program of cycle rides every Sunday throughout the year.
Rides start from three locations which are as follows:
Aldridge - outside the TSB office in Anchor Road WS9 8PT
Pelsall - beside the clock in Norton Road, junction with High Street WS3 4AY
Bloxwich - Co-op car park, Turnberry Road WS3 3UA (close to One man and his dog pub)

Distances vary from under 40 miles ridden at a pace to suit who is out (taster Rides)
50 miles (C ride), 50 - 70 miles (B ride), over 70 miles (A ride) and occasional over 100 miles (A+ride). However most are between 35 and 70 miles depending on time of year, with a typical riding speed of 12 - 14mph.
If you cannot be out all day, we try to offer a half day option. If this need to be cancelled it will be announced on the Saturday on the Facebook group page. Rides always aim to be in lovely countryside whether it be in Staffordshire, Shropshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire or Warwickshire with stops for morning coffee, lunch, usually at a country pub and afternoon tea (and cake!) Help is always on hand for punctures, breakdowns etc. The ride dates, times, start places, coffee and lunch stops are all published quarterly on our 'runs list' as a PDF. As well as the PDF version runs list it is a good idea to also check the Facebook group page, changes made at short notice are usually detailed there. To check out the Facebook group click here.
If you are just starting out cycling, or rescuing the bike from the shed and returning to cycling, you may feel the Sunday CTC rides may be too much at first for you, consider riding with the 'Wheel we make it group' who do shorter, easier rides. Do this for a short while then move up to the Sunday CTC rides.

Remember: We always welcome new riders, we never ride off and leave anyone.
