Walsall Area Cycling rides
Walsall Area Cycling (formally Walsall Area CTC) offers a program of cycle rides every Sunday throughout the year.
Rides start from three locations which are as follows:
Aldridge - corner of Lazy Hill Rd and Walsall Wood Rd. WS9 8RW
Pelsall - by the clock in Norton Road WS3 4AY
Bloxwich - Co-op car park, Turnberry Road WS3 3UA
(close to One Man and his Dog pub)
The rides are classified as follows: under 50 miles (C ride), 50 - 70 miles (B ride), over 70 miles (A ride) and an occasional over 100 miles (A+ride). However most are between 35 and 70 miles depending on time of year, with an easy pace to suit who is riding and a group for the faster riders with all GPS routes published for your Garmin (not to worry if you don't have one, there will be plenty who know the route)
If you cannot be out all day, we usually offer a half day (cafe only) option as well..
Rides always aim to be in lovely countryside whether it be in Staffordshire, Shropshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire or Warwickshire with stops for morning coffee, lunch, usually at a country pub or cafe and afternoon tea (and cake!) Help is always on hand for punctures, breakdowns etc. The ride dates, times, start places, coffee and lunch stops are all published quarterly on our 'runs list' as a PDF, or you can check them out on Facebook group page.
